Heater Test

How to check if the heaters are working?
multimeterquick testsafety

What’s shown in the video

How to quickly confirm heater functionality: where to place multimeter probes, which function to select, and how to interpret the reading. The material helps distinguish a heater fault from control issues (SSR/relay, fuses).

When to use

  • Drying won’t start, stops early, or takes too long.
  • The panel reports a heating alarm or temperature doesn’t rise.
  • Possible heater/SSR damage after fuse trip.

Tools

  • Multimeter with resistance/continuity function.
  • Reference resistance values from the manual.
  • Work gloves.

Basic steps

  1. Disconnect power and make sure no voltage is present on terminals.
  2. Set the multimeter to resistance (or continuity) mode.
  3. Measure resistance between terminals and compare with manual data.
  4. Check for no short to chassis (terminal ↔ ground).
  5. Resistance ∞ or ≈0 Ω = damaged heater → replace.
  6. Heater OK? Check SSR/relay, wiring, and fuses.
